THE CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL DIALOGUE
We would like to invite you to attend the monthly Spiritual Education Forum Monday, April 26th at 6:30 PM.
The Forum is a monthly event that focuses on world religions. Spiritual teachers from different religions share their tradition. They speak on such topics as:
“Life after Death,”
“The Founders,”
“Heaven and Hell,”
“The Good News,”
“Prayer and Meditation,”
“Fasting,” and so forth.
Each month is a different theme from which we will learn and discover our commonalities within diverse spiritual beliefs.
This month, our scholastic speakers will be exploring the mystical realm discussing the various religious mystical traditions. We are very honored to have Bob Waxman join Rev. Allan Bazzy in discussion.
About Mr. Waxman: Bob Waxman is an author, educator, and featured speaker on the topic of Comparative Spirituality and the Evolution of Spiritual Consciousness. He's been interviewed on national TV and radio, and is the author of: The Power of AWE, The Seven Principles of Esoteric Philosophy, 2012: The Ultimate Meaning, and Kabbalah Simply Stated.
With particular emphasis on our topic of Mysticism, Mr. Waxman is well versed on the comparative aspects of various spiritual traditions including: Kabbalah, Ancient Christianity/Gnosticism, Taoism, Vedanta, Sufism, Zen, Mahayana Buddhism, and The Perennial Philosophy. More about Mr. Waxman can be found on his website: http://bobwaxman.com
As usual, there will be a lively Q and A session during the forum where questions from the audience will be fielded by the speakers. Following the forum will be fellowship and refreshments--a GREAT time to peruse the literature and handouts, books for sale, and more that our speakers may provide. The suggested love offering to offset expenses for each Forum is $10. You may RSVP by phone or mail.
The Forum will be held in the 500-seat auditorium located within the Unity Church in the Woods main facility. There’s plenty of parking so bring as many friends as you wish! We hope to give religious diversity an additional “home platform” from which we can learn and better appreciate all religious and spiritual traditions. No doubt, we’ve more in common than we know!
We look forward to seeing you April 26! Call (941) 758-6489 for more information.
DIRECTIONS: Turn right at 32nd Street West, off Cortez Rd. Turn left at the first driveway about 1/2 block. Proceed straight ahead and park. Walk toward the big building and note the forum signs along the sidewalk. We will be there to greet and direct you!
